A weekly workshop to hone your own CDR presentation and develop effective public communication skills!
The long-term success of carbon removal will only advance as far as the level of support and acceptance it gains in among the general public. Grassroots outreach and education are critically important to filling knowledge gaps and bringing people on board, and OpenAir’s growing community can play a role in getting the word out, shaping perceptions and building awareness across a diverse range of audiences.
To this end we launched the CO2municator support group for members who aim to prepare and deliver public presentations about CDR to their own personal networks. Each Wednesday, all are welcome to join other peer members to run through presentation ideas, learn communication tips, and rehearse drafts.
In addition to the Wednesday workshop, OpenAir has launched the CO2municator Open Presentation Library as an open source resource that members can draw inspiration from and guidance from. The library includes a growing list of presentations from members that can be watched, dowloaded and borrowed from to inform new presentations.
All are welcome to drop into Wednesday sessions to listen, learn, give feedback and test out ideas and drafts.
