Just because we’re locked in our homes doesn’t mean we’re going to stop spreading the word on carbontech and how we can advance it! The March for Science and the Earth Day Initiative joined forces on Sunday to host Earth Day 50, a virtual environmental conference featuring Al Gore, Elizabeth Warren, Bill Nye the Science Guy, and 1,500 others. OpenAir was a proud exhibitor, discussing carbon removal, citizen science, and sustainable materials with attendees while showing off the great advocacy and R&D work of our Collectors.

Ari Marder and Matt Parker, the Collectors running our virtual exhibition booth, also had the opportunity to join in the conference’s communal discussion groups, where they shared and learned from activists dedicated to curbing the climate crisis, including several we are now lucky enough to have as part of our OpenAir community!

Overall, the conference was a success, and we can’t wait to do it again next year – in-person this time.
