Concrete is the most used building material on Earth, and its main binding ingredient, Portland cement, is responsible for up to 8% of global carbon emissions.

There are low-carbon alternatives available, but manufacturers don’t yet have the demand for it. Here in New Jersey, a new bill introduced by Asm. Andrew Zwicker would set up incentives for state-funded projects to use low-carbon concrete, which could jumpstart the market for this innovative technology.

To learn more, join us for a webinar on February 26 with Assemblyman Zwicker, Sue Dorward (NJ volunteer with the OpenAir Collective), and Matthew Adams (Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology). Sign up to get the link and call-in details to attend!
