The second installment of OpenAir’s new 20-Something Minutes with… video series is out! In it OpenAir member Amy McDougall (@amyemcdougall) chats with Zachary Grasely, Ph.D, the Director of Texas A&M’s Center for Infrastructure Renewal and low carbon concrete engineering expert, about the various carbon reduction methods and technologies that can be applied to concrete and cement today. This is a great survey of why carbon intensity is such a big problem for the world’s most common building material, and how innovations across the concrete supply chain continue to create high impact and increasingly market ready opportunities for decarbonization.

20-Something Minutes with… is an interview series curated by OpenAir and moderated by our most active members. All subjects directly link to current ideas, projects and problems that are central to OpenAir’s work. The knowledge and insights gained from these discussions serve as actionable resources for our active community, enabling us to make progress and achieve our goals.
