For the second year in a row, OpenAir was an exhibitor at Climate Week NYC’s official closing event, the Marketplace of the Future. Even though this year’s event was virtual and we couldn’t show off our work in person, we had a great time spreading the word about open source Direct Air Carbon Capture, low-carbon concrete advocacy, and our distributed network of volunteer Collectors who are fighting climate change together.
Shout out to the MOTF organizers for putting together an amazing virtual interface that allowed us to connect with hundreds of attendees online. The unique event concept was especially fun for those of us who love 90’s video games (who doesn’t?). We had the chance to talk to so many people who are passionate about innovative environmental solutions.
In addition to showcasing our work, we loved browsing the event to learn about the sustainable technologies and companies building our future. If you couldn’t attend this year, we highly recommend the event in the future.
Special thanks to Collectors Ari, Parker, Ion, and Samina for working our ‘booth’ and spreading the word on how peer-produced carbon-negative technologies can be part of our future.
